    In 1919 the radio company Marconi’s resources were sold to General Electric and with the Radio Corporation of America (RCA, which spawned NBC Radio).

    The big radio boom began as people found it more reliable and easier to get their news. RCA’s stock price went from $85 in the 1928 to being $500 by the year summer 1929. The stock market of 1929 went down to $20 per share.
