FRC
There were too many 'Uncle Charlie' radio stations interfering with the radio commercials so the FRC was established in 1927. The FRC ruled that you had to have a liscence to have a radio transmitter. The FRC later on became the FCC. -

The golden era of radion was from the 1930s-1940s.This was when radio was at its finest and everybody listened to the radio. This was during the war and great depression; Listening to the radio gave people a temporary escape of reality. -

People bought radio's and listened to them at home or at any other building. Fortunaltey in the 1930s, radio could now be listened to on the go. In the 1930s antennas were incorporated in cars enabling mobile access to cars. -

Radio's Demise
As the radio started to fall, Tv's started a rise to fame. There were a few problems which radio shows switching to t.v, The people that spoke the parts of the radio characters wouldn't be able to act out their part on t.v because they weren't what their characters were supposed to look like. e.i: Bart Simpson being played by a woman. -

As the Competition between Radio and t.v. rises, radio takes a toll and starts to suffer. Radio's main focus then switches from shows to music in the 1940s. This change then putting radio back on the charts -

As radio shows started switching to t.v, so did music. In 1956 elvis perforemd on the Milton Berle Show. He starts a new controversy caused by his dancing and new sounding music. -

After a while a lot of radio shows had switched to t.v, Radion then made a comeback by Broadcasting on the internet. The first Radio Station to broadcast on the internet was WXYC.
