1912 sinking of the Titanic shows the value of radio to ocean. If it was not for it, the people couldn't be rescue. They would be missing for days, and they just would know if it skank because the boat was not going to show up in the day mark. -

First radio station was 8xk(KDNA) in 1920. It’s inventor was Frank Conrad. He played music by microfone but radio was the most use for news. -
WEAF COMMERCIAL
In 1922 WEAF aired the first 10 minutes commercial for an apartment charging 50 dollars. Radio makes money by how many commercials that it passes. It each commercial cost different amounts. -
Uncle Charlie
Uncle Charlie was a term for personal Radio stations. It was a problem because you did not needed an licenses to make a radio station. It was established FRC in 1927. -

The shadow was one of the most popular shows in the radio. It went on air in August of 1930. It was a detective story, the shadow solved crimes but no one ever seen him. -

The Golden Area of the radio was the 30’s and 40’s. It was the middle of the Great Depression. People used radio to escape reality and enjoy family . -

Little Orphan Annie was created by Harold Gray. It’s first appearance was in radio 1930 in Chicago WGN. She was ten years old orphan that warm the hearts of every American family. -

In February of 1940, superman radio show appear. It was a superhero who flies and it’s weakness is kryptonite . It ended in February 1942 and changed to TV. -

It came in the 1950s, which it meant popular music. Most pop songs have repeated chorous and catchy background music. It originates from Latin, rock, blues, dance and country. -

It originated in USA in the 1950s. Its intruments were an electric guitar, drums, and a bass. Most of theme songs from rock are politicial, social problems or love. -
ACDC
It is an Austrilian hard rock band. Two of the most famous songs from that group is Back in Black and Highway to Hell. They sold more than 200 million records in world wide.
