Major Edwin Armstrong created the first FM transmitter. FM transmitters gave a stronger signal and better quality for sound. Thats why music is on FM and Talk is on AM. -
Radio is Struggling
radio has to compete with many other factors. People listen to their music on their phones now and don't really need radio to get their music. The only reason radio is still here is because some cars are not equipped with a place to plug in your AUX cord. -
Radio is Here to Stay
Radio is still very handy. Radio can give us the news while we are on our way to work. Radio can give us traffic reports while we are driving. Radio can give us those sports stations that we like to here on the go.
