    The first radio signal wasn't like the traditional music that you se but rather a set of dashes and dots in morse code. The first radio signal was believed to be sent out and invented by an inventor by the name of Guglielmo Marconi. Though Marconi proclaimed that he was the first to send out radio signal , many believe that he may have been lying, due to the fact that in the 20's it was a if someone said it then every believed it to be true. That is the story of the first radio signal.

    The audion tube is a vacuum tube that takes an audio signal and amplifies it. The invention of audion tube was a huge advancement in radio history, because it allowed to signal to be furthered so instead of a few mile radius it went to 50,60 mile radius.Thats why the invention of the audion tube is so significant to radio history.

    The Navy quickly allied themselves with radio as it allowed communication with land. How this strengthen them in the long run , not only did it allow communication but it allowed assurance for the people giving them a since of security. When the Titanic sank they used radio signal to tell land that they were sinking , this allowed the those on land to rescue the remaining survivors. What this shows is that radio is crucial to survival of sea folk.

    K.D.K.A is considered the very first broadcasting radio station, what this means is that the previous radio signals were used for only communication but K.D.K.A used their's for telling the news over the radio. The K.D.K.A first broadcast included news,and small stories.

    Federal Radio Commission Established
    The Federal Radio Commission is a government body that regulates radio control/usage. The F.R.C.(Federal Radio Commission) was established in 1926, its original purpose was to regulate radio as the public requires. The F.R.C wasn't really strict when it came to Uncle Charlie's(Radio station made by a common person with required equipment) however when radio station started to lose money they became more strict with rules such as the Radio Act of 1927.

    The moment when world war two began American appeared to be going to insanity as well as physical pain such as death,starvation, and permanent injuries. Through all of this it seemed as though America only had one thing tying it together, radio. Radio binded America together because it informed, entertained, and acted as a thing to bring the family to be one.

The most important way is the radio as it broadcasted throughout all corners of the U.S.A. Though this isn't the first instance of widespread distribution of media through radio this is one that a person of color can resonate with.
