The crowning of Queen Victoria
On June 20th 1837, Queen Victoria takes her place as the rightful heir of the throne, of Great Britain. Soon also becoming Empress of India. Queen Victoria's Reign was know as the Victorian Era and her reign was also the second longes reign behind queen Elizabeth's reign ( Blumberg 2307 ). -

At the ripe age of 18, and only one year after she was named the successor of the throne Queen Victoria had her coronation day, and it was witnessed by all. At the end of the coronation, the treasurer threw out silver into the crowd as a souvenir ( Mitchell 12). -
The First Journey
Queen Victoria's first journey was by train, as she had left the castle to use this, at the time new technology rather than use a carriage where multiple attempts on her life has occurred previously. The Victorian Cross
The Victorian Cross was a reward from Queen Victoria in thank and honor the acts of the people during the Crimean war. It was introduced in 1856 and on the very day 23 cross's were rewarded to the New Zealand Military (Victoriancross.com). -
Prince Albert Dies
On this day Queen Victoria's husband died. Age 42, he died of thyroid disease. Prince Alberts death would leave Queen Victoria morning his loss from that day on until her death in 1901. The Queen wore only black from that day forth (Mercer 430). -
The Royal Albert Hall
On March 29th 1821 The Royal Albert Hall was built and opened to commentate the dearth of Prince Albert in the fashion he would have desired. Queen Victoria herself was speachless and had only the opportunity to claim that it reminded her of the British before becoming overwhelmed and unable to finish her speech (www.Royalalberthall.com). -

The Golden Jubilee was queen Victoria's 50th year rain party hosted by her, with royalty joining from all around the world. Queen Victoria having the second longest reign as a British Monarch, she was celebrated throughout her Empire (Mercer456) -

The Diamond Jubilee was the celebration of Queen Victoria's 60th year of reign. The whole gathering started off with a Thanksgiving surface at Winston Castle on Sunday June 27th, 1897 (www.history.com). -
The Death Of A Great Monarch
Queen Victoria's death took place at the Osborn House, East Cowes. Queen Victoria was 81 years old on her death bead, the mother of many surrounding children and grand children. Her death was the end of her 64 year reign, four years after her Diamond Jubilee (Mercer475).
