    Elizabeth has her own prayer book made. "The Elizabethan Prayer Book" -Elizabeth's views on religion changed England's views. In order to study the religion in this way, they required new prayer books.

    When the Black Death broke out in London Queen Elizabeth I moved her court to Windsor Castle where she constructed gallows and ordered that anyone coming from London was to be hanged. -Elizabeth cared for her own health. When the Black Death was near, she moved away so she would be safe from death. The Plague spreads from other people, animals, etc. So in order to live, Elizabeth chose to kill those who threatened her. Elizabeth chose to survive.

    James, King of Scotland
    Mary abdicates the throne and her baby son, James, becomes King James VI, King of Scotland - her illegitimate brother, the Earl of Murray acts as Protector -James becomes the heir to Elizabeth's throne because she never had children of her own. It's a lot like how Elizabeth was given the crown. It passed down through the entire family, instead of going to the King/Queen's first born son (as Elizabeth had none).

    Rebellion
    The Nevilles of Durham and Percys of Northumberland plot to overthrow Elizabeth I and reinstate Roman Catholicism in “The Rising of the North”. -Elizabeth's change of the religion didn't sit well with everyone. Radicals in the North didn't agree with Elizabeth as they still wanted to practice Roman Catholicism. The Pope even deposed Elizabeth. However, Elizabeth wasn't put down by the Rebellion and her reign lasted many more years.

    Execution of Mary Queen of Scots -Mary was family to Elizabeth. Mary's son becomes the King of Scotland, and eventually the King of England as well.
  • Spanish Armada

    Spanish Armada
    The Spanish Armada of 132 ships is defeated by the English fleet of 34 ships and 163 armed merchant vessels under Lord Howard of Effingham, Sir Francis Drake, and Sir John Hawkins. -England was still a powerhouse under the ruling of Queen Elizabeth I. Even though the Spanish Armada was defeated by England, the war raged on until the death of Elizabeth in 1603.

    Queen Elizabeth dies on 24 March 1603 of of blood poisoning. -On this day, the reign of Elizabeth was ended. The Tudor Dynasty was also ended.

    James
    James VI of Scotland, now also James I of England is proclaimed King of England. (Great-Great-Grandson of Henry VII) -After Elizabeth dies, the next in line is set to rule. Just like Elizabeth, the line went on for a long time until a suitable heir was found. This heir happened to be King of Scotland already when he was then named King of England.
