Columbus Finds America
On August 3, 1492 Christopher Columbus set sail with three boats from the Spanish Port of Palos. Through out the voyage of finding the new wolrd they saw more sea than they ever had before but eventually they landed on the small island, Lucayos. -
Thirteen Colonies
The Thirteen Colonies along North America begin to speak up about independence against Great Britain. The founding begain in 1607 with Virginia and ended in 1733 with Georgia. -
French and Indian War
Also known as the Seven Years' War, was the war between British America and New France supported by Native American allies. The Indians were highly depended on by the French because of how outnumbered the French were to the Britains. The war went from 1754 to 1793. -
Industrial Revolution
The years where many new manufacturing proccesses were coming to light, changing how hand manufacturers worked. Using machines and chemicals changed the worlds view on water and steam power. -
Boston Tea Party
An act against the Tea Act by the Sons of Liberty in Boston. Boarding the ships in disguises they began to throw chests of tea into the harbor, ruining the tea. -
Revolutionary War
Britains hold on America had become to suffocating. America fought back for their freedom. It was violent and long, lasting from 1775 to 1783 but it was worth it when America finally won. -
Constitution
A document containing the supreme law for the U.S. Created for order and freedom in the sates and signed by some of the greatest minds of their time. -
Lewis and Clark Expedition
Thomas Jefferson puts together an expedition to find the most direct way for water communication. Meriwether Lewis and William Clark led the expedition from 1804 to 1806. -
Missouri Compromise
An act to regulate slavery in the western territories but prohibit it in Louisiana Territory, It was then repealed in 1854 by the Kansas-Nebraska Act. -
Bleeding Kansas
The bloody fights between those for and against slavery in getting Kansas a free or a slave state. It was deemed Bleeding Kansas by an editor of the NEW YORK TRIBUNE. 1854-1861.
