  • Sigmund Freud

    Freud was born in Germany in 1856 and died in the year of 1939. He is a well known psychologist mainly known for his belief that identifying childhood trauma helped with mental diagnosis's. He also used a form of psychotherapy known as dream interpretation.
  • Carl Jung

    Carl Jung is mainly known for contributing extensive knowledge on symbols and their meanings, archetypes and the collective unconscious. He also developed a well known system of personality types. He was born in Switzerland in 1875 and passed in 1961.
  • Karen Horney

    Karen Horney was born in Germany in 1885 and passed in the year 1952. She is well known for her theories regarding neurosis. She also explained how cultural and personal factors influence human behaviour.
  • Jean Piaget

    Jean Piaget is a well known Swiss psychologist who was born in 1896 and passed in 1980. He developed important theories on childhood development and aided in the development of the school curriculum in North America and Europe.
  • Erik Erikson

    Erik Erikson was born in Germany but lived in the states for part of his life. He was born in 1902 and died in 1994. He developed a theory about eight psychosocial stages of human development.
  • Noam Chomsky

    Noam Chomsky was born in the year of 1928 in the United States. He is most known for his theories of language acquisition.
  • Jane Goodall

    Jane Goodall is a well-known psychologist who was born in 1934. She is from the UK, however lived in the states as well. She has contributed many theories regarding human and animal development and their relationships with one-another. She majorly works with chimpanzees.
  • Ravi Menon

    Ravi Menon is a Canadian psychologist who is most well known for his groundbreaking work using the MRI to monitor regions of the brain. This helped to analyze muscle movement, visual perception and the connections between senses.
