They are newlyweds who want to become emotionally close-to-each other in a committed relationship, and by bringing a daughter into the world, they are creating an unbreakable and intimate bond with each other and their child. -

and Bart's only daughter,Amanda has moved out of the house for college. They are in their mid forties and are looking into opening an assited living home, they really want to make their lives count and an impact on the world. In Erickson's developmental stages, they are in the "Generativity vs Stagnation" stage of life. -

Bart and Stacey retire to Hawaii after passing down their assisted living home to Amanda and her husband, Tom, after 13 successful years running the home, and 30 years living together, they are excited to start this new chapter in their life and reflect on the lives they have led; they are in the Ego integrity vs. dispair phase of their lives.
