US starts peace talks
The US, North Korea, South Korea, and China start peace talks around the 38th parallel. These peace talks inclueded the citizen reperations. -
Armistice is signed
The armistice is signed and there is a ceasefire at the 38th parallel. This gave the South Koreans an extra 1,500 miles of land. -
DMZ
A Demilitarized Zone Is creeated to create some sense of peace that still exists today but tensions are higher.
