This act provided money to old retired workers since they can't make money working.
This act is very important because now everyone benefits from it. If you retire you have no way to make money so you need social security to give you money. -
Equal Pay Act
This act was created by John F. Kennedy.
The act says that you cannot discriminate the amount of money a person makes by their race or gender.
This act helps out people so they will be paid fairly as everyone else is. -
Clean Water Act
This law was created by the senate of the U.S.
This law controls the pollution of the waters of our country.
The same as the clean air act, if we didn't have this our countries water would be disgusting. -
Endangered Species Act
Created by the National Fish and Wildlife Services.
This act provides for the conservation of species that are endangered or threatened throughout all or a significant portion of their range, and the conservation of the ecosystems on which they depend.
This act is very important because the wildlife of our country would be scarce if this act wasn't put into place. -
Drug Free Workplace Act
This act was made by the U.S. Senate.
This act says that the work place has to be free of drugs under any circumstances.
This act is good for employees so they won't have to worry about drugs. -
Clean Air Act
Created by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
It was created to control pollution of the country.
If we didn't have this we would have a nasty and polluted world so it has helped us out a lot. -
Family and Medical Leave Act
The act was created by President Clinton.
This act says that a employee can be paid even if they aren't working due to medical and family reasons.
This act is good because it gives employees money even if they aren't working because they can't. -
Fair Labor Standards Act
The U.S. Senate created this act.
This act covered nonexempt workers are entitled to a minimum wage of not less than $7.25 per hour.
This act helps out the workers so they can actually make a good amount of money rather that making nothing.
