    This article in history focused on new ways to the already practiced group therapy. They wanted to enhance the quality of life to these veterans. The researchers performed many unique approaches in the therapy sessions with a total of 30 sessions. They were targeted towards the study of traumatic focus group therapy (TFGT). The study produced an overall decrease in PTSD symptoms using the TFGT strategy.

    The couple's therapy was treated on the military men and their wives who were in the Vietnam War. They went through many tests to determine their depression, anxiety, and symptom levels, etc. Then 15 sessions with 3 phases for the therapy part of treatment. The goal was to reduce the symptoms and improve the relationships. In the end of the sessions a few men hadn't been considered diagnosed with PTSD anymore.

    In this study the researchers used Clinician Administered PTSD Scale (CAPS) to analyze the symptoms of re-experiencing, avoidance/numbing, and hyper arousal. The cognitive group therapy is an advantage because it costs less and is still effective. The study showed 10 sessions had a decrease in symptoms among these women.

To determine the levels of PTSD they used the DSM-5, which is the most updated version. The sources of treatment can be accessed from three different applications. These apps can track your therapy sessions, suggestions how to change your mood, exercises for the user, and more. This type of treatment can give education and a new practice in a "therapy" session.
