  • Pendleton Act

     Pendleton Act
    This act was put into place because they had to make a law saying in order to run for president you had to pay for your whole campaign and no one else could help you and if they did and wanted a spot in the white house they would have to actually have to go through the same thing as everyone else. This is called the spoil system and the other name that we have today as called the Merit System you would have to earn the job that you want.
  • Antiquities Act

    Antiquities Act
    To stop hunters from going to national parks and killing the most "dangerous" animals, this act made it so only the President and congress are able to reserve land for historical monuments or for endangered animals. The reason why they had made that is because hunters were coming from around the U.S. and killing endangered species.
  • Meat Inspection Act

    Meat Inspection Act
    Had gave the FMIA power to check all animals before getting killed. Like pigs, cows, Horses, and sheep. They weren’t allowed to kill animals in harsh conditions. Before the law came into place scientists were working on experiments to see what germs were going into the meat because the slaughterhouses were not so clean and healthy before that had gone into place.
  • Clayton Antitrust Act

    Clayton Antitrust Act
    This act went into place because it had put in place laws so that no one could own to much of a company if someone had 95% of a company and no one else can start another one up to. This means that the supreme court can cut them into other pieces so that they would all have a decent amount of the companies if one person had a to high of a percentage. And if you don’t do so they can fine you to a decent amount.
  • The 19th Amendment

    The 19th Amendment
    It had allowed all women to vote and have equal rights as well as men and other people in the United States. Before the 19th amendment had happened women were not allowed to have the same rights as men. Women would hold protest because they were not allowed to vote but soon after they would get what they have wanted for a while
