    This was one of the first laws put in place that monitored the purchase and sale of firearms. There were strict guidelines and licenses that sellers were to follow and criminals were not allowed to purchase/own firearms.

    Another law put in place that put further restrictions on both the selling and purchasing of firearms. There was another category of criminals who were added to the criminal list.
