Miley starred in "Hannah Montana: The Movie" and released her EP "Time of our Lives" in 2009.
I think this is the maturing stage in her career because this is when she began to be seen as a more mature and a more grown up person rather than a little kid starring on Hannah Montana. It is when she started becoming a more individual star and was famous for things other than the character she played. -

This was Miley's lowest selling record of her career. This was the beggining of the decline in her career. -
Decline
Miley released her album "Bangerz" where she displayed sexually explict behaviour in many of the music videos.
I would like to consider this the decline of her career because it is the time that people began to look down on her for many of her actions. It is the time that people frowned upon everything that she did from her clothes to her music and to what she said. It is also when she admitted to being insecure with what her image was then and what it was before she displayed this behaviour. -

Miley continuted to be her and ended up winning "top streaming artist" and "top hot 100 song" in 2014 at the Billboard Music Awards and was nominated for 7 other awards. Her song "Wreking Ball" won iHeartRadio Music Awards best lyrics award in 2014 and the "best video of the year" at the MTV Video Music Awards . This is categorised as the decision point in her career because she was finally out of the spotlight for her actions and was accepted for what she was doing.
