Mexican oil expropiation
Lázaro Cárdenas, the current President of that time, expropriated all oil reserves, facilities and the foreign oil companies that were operating in México. Later, he created PEMEX, a firm that started to "own" the Mexican oil. -
Women´s right to vote
For the fisrt time in the Mexican history, women had the right to choose who they wanted to rule the country. -
Nationalism with poor people
During this decade, is when PRI started to make the poor peole, or the lowest social class to vote for them. They made them feel part of this nation, and that they werethe base of this country, just to win their vote. Also they gave them food and services. This countinue today. -
Fraud in the elections, 1988
One of the biggest frauds in history. People had no vote, no word. The right of voting a liberty to speak was violated, when Salinas de Gortari was elected. -
