Immigration Act of 1924
Stricter and more restrictive quotas- Japanese are restricted while Canadians and Mexicans are excluded from the act. -
The Dawes Plan
The U.S., Great Britain, France, Belgium, and Itally sign the Dawes Plan- ending the occupatin of Ruhr by Belgium and French troops. Charles G. Dawes won a Nobel Peace prize for this the following year. -
France debt cancelled
The U.S. and France sign an agreement that cancels 60% of the French debt from WWI. -
Kellogg-Briand Pact
U.S. and fifteen (later sixty-two) other nations signed this pact as a mean to out war in the case of settling disputes.
The following year, Kellogg won a Nobel Peace Prize as a result of the pact. -
