Proclamation of Neutrality
The US wanted to remain neutral during conflicts between other nations like France and Great Britain, so they wrote the Proclamation of Neutrality. The relationship between US and France ended because the US promised to help them in any future conflicts. Great Britain began impressing US soldiers and caused the war of 1812. Alien and Sedition Acts

War with Tripoli

War of 1812
The British took sailors from the US and forced them to join the British navy so they started a war. Andrew Jackson and William Henry Harrison were considered heros and later elected president. The US also became more independent from Europe. Image source- History.com -
Monroe Doctrine

Tariff of Abominations

The Indian Removal Act(Trail of Tears)
President Jackson didn't do anything about Indian discrimination and signed the Indian Removal Act. The Indians were forced off their land and had to walk the Trail of Tears and a lot of them died Image source- PBS.
