    On July 27 President George Washington signed an act to create the Department of Foreign Affairs. This department was in charge of handling foreign policies, relations, and diplomacy.

    On August 7th George Washington signed the act to create the Department of War. The Department of War handles treaties, declarations of war, and war spending.

    The Constitution was written and amended over and over again. On September 17th, 1789 the Constitution was fully completed and ratified.

    An act passed on the 14th of July. This act was very unpopular because the act said yo could be arrested for spreading false information about the government.

    The excise tax was very unpopular so Thomas Jefferson repealed it. This showed a true challenge of authority against the government.

    The Louisiana purchase was a deal between the Spanish and the U.S. The Spanish government actually had no clue the purchase happened.

    Ohio officially became a state. Ohio now has representation in the government.
