Final Production
When starting my final production I felt that the research and skills I had developed and gathered from my preliminary task had helped a great deal. I was able to recognise what fitted and did nto fit to the front cover of my magazine. I decided to change the font of my masthead as I believed this one seemed more appealing and bold to the eye. I also changed the font of the subheadings as when reasearching I saw that this was a common pattern in Indie magazines. -
Photoshop
Photoshop happened to be the only software I felt comfortable and confident using throughout my Preliminary task and my production. I felt that my preliminary task had helped me a deal when using Photoshop for my production. -
Development-First draft
When creating my production I found it rather difficult in arranging Fonts, image etc of my front cover to best suit the genre and audience I was targetting. I began to make drafts and through this develop further researc of the genre and what needed to be changed to make my front cover the best outcome it could be. I again used Photoshop and I feel that making a variety of drafts helped me understand further knowledge needed to develop my final draft. -
Research advantages
I feel that my reasearch and planning for my production helped a lot as it provided a base for the making of my product. I was able to gather information of which would help improve my final production and make it far more appealing to my target audience.Through the questionare I was able to gather research from my target audience to which what they would be expecting in the magazine, and applying it to my magazine. -
School magazine preliminary
When looking back at my preliminary task I am able to recognise how much I have progressed in the use of technology and media skills. When in the stages of producing my school magazine I found it rather difficult to use advanced Softwares such as, Photoshop and Fireworks as I had no previous experiences of using them.In the process of producing my school magazine I used Photoshop to help me arrange and form the conventions of my magazine and its genre.
