Treaty of Versailles signed
The Treaty of Versailles was a treaty between the allied powers to figure out what to do following WWI. "The Big Three" emerged from this, containing the prime ministers of France, Britain, and the President of the United States. While the President wanted to go easy on Germany, France wanted to be harsh. -
Mussolini elected Prime Minister
Mussolini becomes the youngest Prime Minister of Italy. He destroyed other political parties who stood in his way and had fascist views. While he sided with Germany at the start of WWII, he didn't realize Italy didn't have enough military power to fight off France and Great Britian, which probably did more harm than good. Out of the four main dictators, I would have to say Mussolini is the least-horrible. -
Beer Hall Putsch
The Beer Hall Putsch was a failed Nazi attempt to coup d'etat a southern state in Germany, led by Hitler. Hitler was later sentenced to a term in prison, where he dictated Mein Kampf. While it was a failed attempt, it still got the world's attention on Hitler and the Nazi party. -
Dawes Plan
Dawes plan was a way to solve the world reparations problem following WWI. It developed a staggered payment program for Germany. It also included loans from America to Germany and the Reichsbank would be reorganized under the Allied Power's supervision. -
Death of Lenin
Lenin's death in January of 1924 had a significant domino-effect leading to the second World War. He questioned the amount of authority given to Stalin and didn't want Stalin reaching power. He once asked Stalin to give him cyanide to put him out of his misery because he knew Stalin was so lacking of any humanity that he would do it. But, even Stalin couldn't comply to his request and he failed to deliever. Following his death, Stalin created a "Lenin Cult" for worshiping him. -
Mein Kampf, or "My Struggle" published.
Mein Kampf, published in July of 1925, was a dictated book by Adolf Hitler, talking about his ideals, opinions on other political philosophies, and his background life. He dictated it to a fellow prisioner and soon it became custom to obtain and have the book. Family's and friend's would give the book to each other on celebrations, such as marriages and birthdays.It was important to own a copy in Nazi Germany. -
Hirohito became Emperor
In 1922, Hirohito became Emperor. While he was Emperor, Tojo, the general of a Japanese army, seemed more in charge of Japan's war moves. -

The Wall Street Crash of 1929 was influenced by many things. Firstly, the entire world was in a global depression following WWI. It also was the result of buying stocks on "credit," where people who didn't work would slowly drive out a company's income. You began to see lower-class non-working people enjoying the goods of an upper-class family, while companys were losing money- fast. This was what led to the crash of 1929. -

Dachau was the first concentration camp in Nazi Germany. It was intended to hold political prisoners, but it also held homosexuals, gypsies, and jews. -
