On this date Abraham Lincoln was elected presindent of the United States. He was the president in one of the worest times. It was during the Civil War. He stoped slavery and then someone assainated by someone in the south. -

The KKK was a group started by Confederate Soldiers who thought the blacks should not have any rights, so they started the group to try to kill all of the blacks. They are still around today. -

If you are born in the United States you are a citizen. -

You have the right to vote no matter what race or color. -
