The Battle of El Alamein
There were 2 battles that took place at El Alamein. The first one was when Rommel conquered it from the British. A few months later General Montgomery brought British armor back to El Alamein to finish off Rommel and his tanks. -
The Battle of the Coral Sea
This battle helped the Australians by halting the Japanese advance. The U.S. navy met the Japanese fleet and destroyed a large portion of their navy. -

This is often called the battle that changed the tide of war in the Pacific Theatre, and called that rightfully so. This battle took out a large portion of the Japanese fleet and halted their advance on the Pacific. -

This was the final counter attack by the Nazi army. Their plan was to box the 101st airborne U.S. soldiers in Belgium, which would slow down the rest of the U.S. army. The 101st held on long enough until they recieved reinforcments that decimated the rest of the German army -

Iwo Jima was the final island the U.S. needed to take from Japan in order to send in bombing raids to Japan. They took it, but not without a ferocious fight from the Japanese soldiers inhabiting the small island. -
