Start of the book when Pony boy walks out of the movie theater and is thinking about a ride home. -
Pony gets jumped
Ponyboy gets jumped by socs and nearly gets killed -
Pony is found by his gang members and broght back home
when the socs run away they leave pony in the lot alone and badly hurt. Then his friends find him and take care of him -
Pony gets yelled at by darry
After pony gets jumped he gets scolded by darry on how he wasent carful enough. -
Pony goes to the movies
Pony, Johnny, and Dally went to the movies and fooled around with two girls named Cherry and Marcia. -
Johnny gets beat up
Johnny gets beat up by a bunch of socs. -
Pony gets followed by socs
Pony,Johnny,two-bit,Cherry and Marcia get followed by socs and two bit stands up to them. -
Pony and Johnny fall asleep in the lot
After the movie Johnny and Pony go to the lot and fall asleep. -
Pony wakes up in the middle of the night
When Pony and Johnny fall asleep in the lot Pony wakes up and goes home. -
Darry slaps Pony and Pony runs away with Johnny
When Pony and Darry get in an argument Darry slaps Pony and he runs away with Johnny. -
While Johnny and Pony are in the lot trouble comes
While Johnny and Pony are asleep in the lot a group of socs come and try to drown Ponyboy. -
Johnny kills a soc
When the socs are drowning Pony Johnny gets up pulls out his switch knife and stabs bob the soc and kills him. -
Johnny and Pony run away to windrixvill
After killing a soc Johnny and Ponyboy run away to windrixvill to hide in a abandond chuch to stay hidden from the cops. -
The boys go through a change
In order to not fit the newspaper descriptions Pony and Johnny cut their hair and Pony dyes his hair blonde to not look like the old him. -
Dally comes to the rescue
After a week or so Dally comes to tell the boys that they Johnny was wanted for manslauter and Pony for being his acoplice. Then Dally takes them out to eat and tells them what happend while they were gone. -
A burning church with helpless children
When Dally, Pony, and Johnny come back to the church they find it burning and hear that there are some children in it they decide to become heros and save the children from getting burned to death. -
A trip to the hospital
Aftetr the saving the children the boys go to the hospital with burns that go from just a little to severly deadly, like Johnnys burn. -
A visit from a soc
While at a gas station a soc named randy comes to talk to Pony about the rumble. Two-bit stays behind to make fun of how the socs dress. -
A visit for Johnny Cade
Pony and Two-bit visit Johnny to see how he is doing and to tell him the news about how he is a hero and about the rumble. -
The rumble
At last the moment that the gang has all been waiting for......the rumble that will decide who is the best the greesers or the socs who will win. -
The sad part
After the rumble Pony and Dally go to the hospital to see Johnny and after a few words to Pony Johnny gives up and dies. -
The aftermath
After Johnny dies Pony goes home but Dally dosen't handle the death pretty well because he goes to a store robbes it then gets shot under a street light while everyone is watching him. -
Ponyboy is in trouble with school
After Pony witnessing Johnny die he starts to do bad in school and is told that he can pass with a good theme. -
The Outsiders
After being through so much in such a small time Pony finally comes up with a theme he would write The Outsiders.
