Six Day War
Israel took control of Jerusalem and West Bank, which led to the Six Day War and sent a massive amount of refugees to Jordan. Jordan regained control of Jerusalem. With the loss of the West Bank, Jordan lost 40% of their GDP, 90% of their tourism industry, and 20% of arable land. It was a devestating loss. -
Black September
Clashes between government and Palestinian geurillas over whether the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) or the Hashemite monarchy would be in control. There were thousands of casualties, mostly Palestinians. -
