The Federalist Party

The democratic-republican party
The Democratic Republican Party was founded around beliefs that Thomas Jefferson held. They believed in limited government and viewed the constitution as a strict document that did not imply powers. The national republicans

The anti-Masonic party
The anti-masons were kind of a weird party because there only goal was to oppose the Freemasons which were a kind of cult. They feared that the Freemasons were going to infiltrate their government and schools and so they did their best to stop them. The liberty party

The Whig party
The Whig party was a fairly big party with multiple candidates running in multiple presidential races. They believed in a strong federal government and also believed that the government should help create a moral citizenry. They were the precursor to the Republican Party. The American party
This party was another interesting one as they believed that the Catholics were going to take over the American government and that the pope would rule. The democrats
This party is the oldest party in American history and they have been standing since 1848. This party believes in diversity and inclusion, a woman’s right, and health care for all. The Republican Party
This party is a very large one that is still around today. It is one of the two biggest parties in todays politics. They believe in the freedom of the individual, in small government, and in Judeo Christian values. The have run numerous candidates and have overall been quite successful. The people’s party
