Pokemon Yellow, Green, Blue, and Red
This is the first generation of pokemon to come out and was a very popular game when it came out. At the same time it was made along with Pokemon Red and Blue. The images in the game were very simplistic and originally black and white. -
Pokemon Crystal
After Pokemon yellow becoming a big hit, the creators add another generation adding new Pokemon to be discovered and started adding color. The reigion would be different so the game did not follow the same story but have a similar gaol. -
Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire
As Pokemon kept getting popular, more pokemon were added and different enemys such as Team Magma and Team Augua for the release of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire to keep the game interesting instead of the same enemys from the previous games.
Ruby- enemys goal is to add more land to the Earth
Sapphire- enemys goal is to add more water to the Earth -
Pokemon Leaf Green and Fire Red
Pokemon Leaf Green and Fire Red was the first remake of the Pokemon games.(Red and Green) They added better graphics to the land and creatures while keeping the story the same. -
Pokemon Emerald
This was the first combination of a Pokemon (Ruby and Sapphire) to act as a balance beetween the two and give a bit more of an explination for the previos two that also acts like a secret that could not be known before.
Emerald- creates a balance between the two rival Pokemon -
Pokemon Diamond and Pearl
Continuing on travling to different reigions to discover new Pokemon continues with Pokemon Diamond and Pearl where new combinations of pokemon were added such as Dragon/Steel and Dragon/Water.
Diamond- foccoses on the idea of distorting time to ones will
Pearl- focouses on the idea of distorting space to ones will -
Pokemon Platinum
This combined both Pokemon Diamond and Pearl as a secret Pokemon that was harder to find in the original games now as the main legendary.
Platinum- having the control of havin the ability to travel through different dimensions -
Pokemon Soul Silver and Heart Gold
This is a re-make of Pokemon Crystal where it was divided into two versions, Heart Gold and Soul Silver and added a new item to where you can take a pokemon with you on an item called ther Pokewalker that tracks steps and encounter wild Pokemon outside the game. -
Pokemon Black and White
Getting away from gems, it surpried many people that the creators used colors again this time making Pokemon Black and White whith a more intense story than the originals and the movements of the Pokemon are always in motion yet quiet pixilated.
Black- focoses on a world that is built upon the future elements (eletricity) but have the legendary (fire) represent the past life
White- focouses on a world built upon the natural elements (fire) but have the legendary (eletric) represent the future -
Po9kemon Black 2 and White 2
This was the first time that there was a 2nd of a generation in a row and to make it more surprising is that it was also the begining of combining two Pokemon into one. -
Pokemon X and Y
Another first for the Pokemon generation was now using letters for the titles and the legendary Pokemon relating to the letter. Also something new they added was now you can interact with any of your Pokemon through touch screen for more diversity. Last would be the change of clothes your character can wear, whereas that was never an option before adding your own style to the game. This generatinon so far has really outdone the others.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire
This will be the re-make of the original Pokemon Sapphire and Ruby but now adding new mega-evolutions to previous Pokemon and their starters.
