The Month and Date of her real birth is unknown but historians think that she was born in the year 1595. -

In May of 1607, Pocahontas' village first saw the Englishmen and their boats arrive up the river from their land. -
John Smith's Capture
John Smith was on a trip to America when he was captured by Indians. He was suppose to be killed in Pocahontas' village but when was about to be hit with a club and die, Pocahontas threw her body over his so they would not hit him. It was law that if a woman or girl asked for a man they would get him. Pocahontas asked her father, the chief, if she could have him. She did get him and a ceremony was held and John Smith became her brother and was let free. They later became good friends. -
John Smith's Death
John smith was injured in a gunpowered accident and was sent back to England. When Pocahontas went to visit him at his fort, she was told that he had died. -

Pocahontas married a "pryvate Captayne" who was an Indian named Kocoum. -

Pocahontas is captured and taken pirsoner at James town. She has to stay with the governer and his daughters. -
Pochontas changes her Name
Pochontas changes her name to Rebecca when she is baptized and she is remarrided to a man named John Rolfe. -

Pocahontas has a son named Thomas who is very smart. -

Pocahontas, her husband, and her son get on a ship and move to London, England. -
John Smith and his Return
After eight years of John Smith's "death" he comes to visit Pocahontas in England. He told her that the messanger who said he was died saw the burn that he had on his side and he thought that he would die in a matter of minutes. -
Pocahontas's Last Voyage
Pocahontas was on a ship on her way back to America. Some people thought that she would not survive the rest of the trip so the ship stopped and she was taken on the land. She was suffereing from a bad case of pneumonia. She was laying on the beach when she died at age twenty-two.
