A guy gets flown off the ship but catches himself on a rope on the side of the ship. This was considered another way god is helping them through this journey across the ocean.

They do not think that the ship is going to make it all the way across the ocen. The pilgrims have to decide whether to keep going or turn around and go back. They decide to keep going because religious freedom is very important to them.

The pilgrims meet samoset and since he does not know english very well he introduces squanto to them. He teaches them how to live off the land
