In the early days they used hot air balloons instead of air planes because they didnt have any air planes back then they used them in war to find out enemy postes and were they were camping to find htere bases.

First flight was in 1903 when the wright brothers created the first plane.

World War I

The planes were perfected to a better design then the ones from the first flight so they were better and could fly longer than 12 seconds.

Wepons For Balloons

They really didnt have any wepons for hydrogen balloons but they did have a man with a gun on it in case of anybody shooting at him and there was a misterious thing that happend the japenes we so thought were sending bombs all the way accross the ocean on hot air balloons although none of them blew up they still tried to savatouge us.
