Mario Lemieux Mario Lemieux announced that he had been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Disease and he missed 24 games to undergo radiation treatment. However, everything changed on March 9th when Mario returned after his last day of treatment. He came back and played in the March 11th game, recieving a standing ovation. He came back to a team, that became unbeatable. -
The longest Penguins/NHL winning streak in history
The Penguins team of 1993 came to be the "Dream Team". They started the season with low hopes, and a losing season. Their M.V.P. Mario Lemieux was diagnosed with Hodgkins disease, and was out for 24 games. However, he came back on March P, 1993 and lit up the NHL world. His team was behind him every step of the way. This DreamTeam went on to hold a 17 game winning streak. This record came close to being beaten by the Penguins team in 2013. -

Throughout his career, Fleury has made 12,738 saves. and has palyed 26,055 minutes of hockey as a professional. Marc-Andre Fleury is considered to be one of the best goaltenders in Penguins history. -
