When Scott Pinholster was two years old his Mother said that she accidentaly ran him over with her car causing head injury to pinholster. -
Abuse
As a child Piholster did not get along with his step dad and him and his sibiling were abused as kids. -

When he was 11, he was sent to Camarillo State Mental Hospital for 5 months. -
The Break In
January 8th, 1982 is the date Pinhloster broke in and robed Michael Kumar's house and allegedly murdered Thomas Johnson and Robert Beckett. -
State Mail
While in Los Angles County Jial Pinhoster gets a letter from the sate saying that that the prosecution planned to offer aggravating evidence at the penalty phase. -
State Trial
The state Court had general jurisdictaion aloowing them to hear a wide range of cases inclubding criminal cases. Pinhloster admits the the break in and burglary of Michael Kumar's home but not to the alledged murders. He was found guilty of 2 counts of murder in the first degree. -
Psychiatrist Examination
Dr. John M. Stalberg, a psychiatrist who did an examination of concluded that Pinhoster “did not manifest any significant signs or symptoms of mental disorder or defect other than his antisocial personality disorder by history.” -
habeas corpus
A Heabes Corupus petition was filed by Phinholster with the California Supreme Court saying that his attorney didn't provide effective assistance during the guilt and penalty phases of his trial. -
U.S. Court of Appeals
The U.S. court of appeals has appellate jurisdiction which is the authority to review a discussion of lower court. A federal judge overtured his death sentence and gives him life in prision. -
U.S. Supreme Court
The U.S. Supreme Court has orignial juisdiction. Witha 5 - 4 vote they decided that federal judges should not have over rulled the states dicision. He was given the death penelty
