Joseph Nicephore Niepce takes the first Photograph ever
Joseph Nicephore Niepce created the first permanently fixed Photograph when he used a camera obscura outfitted with a lens and bitumen coated pewter plate to cast an image of the courtyard outside his house. The process took 8 hours and Joseph named it heliography. -

The Death of Film
Kodak released the first available camera with a digital sensor ( DCS ) in 1991. It was known as the Kodak DCS 100 and was Nikon F3 equipped with storage unit. Although it wasn`t a success it marked the dominance of digital photography.
