Camera Obscura
A small room or a box that has a pin-hole opening in one side which light is permitted to enter to form an image on the side or wall opposite of the opening. -
Daguerreotype Camera
A highly detailed image in which you must clean and polish the surface, like a mirror, sensitize the plate in a closed box over iodine, (wait till it turns a yellow-rose color), hold it over mercury until the image finally appeared then if needed to fix the image, the image would be immersed in a sodium thiosulfate or salt solution which afterward you would tone with gold chloride. -
Alexander Wolcott Camera
This was one of the first actual handheld cameras. It still didn't have a lens but the camera had a reflective mirror which would reflect onto the paper producing an image. (except now unlike the last two this was a smaller version) -

This camera was one of the first cameras able/capable to get a 360-degree picture due to the round lens and openness of the camera. It almost works like clockwork! -
Stereoscope
This camera was able to form and render images that can view them with realistic depth or three-dimensional due to the overlapping of the images in which it simulates a real human eye. -

The film is usually wound up into a spool like form, using a tight blank paper to protect the film that was wound up. -
The Kodak Brownie Camera (The Brownie)
Brought and introduced the first snapshot. The Brownie shutter opens allowing light to come in, and when the light is reflected and photographed it forms the image, but upside down. -
