In 900AD Al Kindi proved the behaviors of light with a pinhole that other philosophers such as Aristotle and Anthemius discovered.Everyone was on the right track but never thought to use a screen on one side of the hole to project it to a surface.

    Alhazen was the first to make a fully functioning pinhole camera, and came up with the name of Camera Obscura. He was the man who wrote The Book of Optics, and the treatise of optics.
