    The first phone was the telephone invent in 1876. Alexander Graham Bell was the inventor and he made his first call on the phone on March 10, 1876
  • Candlestick Phone

    The candlestick phone was separated into two pieces. The mouth piece formed the candlestick part, and the receiver was placed by your ear during the phone call. After the 1930's the style died out when manufacturers started combining the mouth piece and receiver into a single unit.

    To dial, you would rotate the dial to the number you wanted, and then release. The top of the phone you would put up to your ear and the bottom would go right by your mouth. It was one single piece.

    Instead of turning the dial you can just push the number you want, this is a quicker and easier way.

    Portable phones were a new way of technology in the 1980's. This phone allowed people to travel anywhere in your house to answer and take calls. It was a phone-based so after you were done using it you put it back on the base so it can charge.

    This was the first cell-phone. People were able to leave the house and take their phones with them and makes call outside of the house. This phone had 30 minutes of talk time.

    This cell-phone hd a long battery life. It has a bigger screen and the letters were put on the phone along with the numbers, in the same spot.

    The Motorola was the first successful flip phone, made in 1996. The cell phone got lighter and only weighed 3.1 ounces. This phone had a smaller intenna.

    This phone was the first phone to have a camera. It also had a built in flash with a range of three feet.

    The Iphone 4 was the first smart phone to come out that was a touchscreen. As the years went on the hardware and software got more up to date and it continues today.

    The Palm Treo was the first smart phone that was invented. This was the first phone that had a full keyboard with every letter and number on it.

    The Blackberry didn't have a touchscreen but it had a ball in the middle. The ball was used for scrolling just like a mouse on a computer. The phone was used mostly for business,
