Charles Robert Darwin
Charles Darwin was born in Shrewsbury, England. He attended Shrewsbury schools, and the later went on to attend medical school at the university of Edinburgh. Darwin decided to leave medical school in 1828, to pursue his dreams of being a naturalist. His father enrolled him in Christ's College to get a BA degree. Darwin graduated with distinction in 1831.

Charles Darwin helped with the progression of biology. His main focus was the theory of evolution. Darwin wrote many books about his theory and also did experiments. Many of his experiments were observation based but not all of them. He aided in the understanding of where humans came from and also what we are classified as. -
On the origin of species is published
Darwin published a book containing his theory of natural selection. The book sold out immediately, many scientists agreed to the theory quickly because it answered many biological questions. The church condemned the book as heresy. -

Charles Darwin published this book to add to his theory of evolution. To point out its not only natural selection, but also how animals choose to reproduce, based on his observations. -
Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals is published
John Murray published the expression of the emotions in man and animals. This book was widely praised to be a good introduction to Darwin's theory of evolution. He supported his theory by doing experiments with facial expressions using his family.
