  • Hans Reichenbach (September 26, 1891 - April 9, 1953)

In 1915 Reichenbach wrote his doctoral thesis, "The Concept of Probability in the Mathematical Representation of Reality" which was a philosophical topic of problems he foreseen happening in the 21st century between microscopic and macroscopic systems. His thesis proposed an argument to Kants work, “Principle of Causality” where he says that events abide by a probability distribution. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5c7-UNZreQ
  • Reichenbach The Theory of Relativity and A Priori Knowledge

In 1920 during Reichenbach’s time as a teacher he published a book called “The Theory of Relativity and A Priori Knowledge.” This book was again a critic of the Kantian work synthetic a prior.
  • Axiomatization of the Theory of Relativity

Reichenbach publish a book in 1924 by the name of “Axiomatization of the Theory of Relativity.” It was only a short time after the release of this work that other scientist found three major discrepancies. One being a mathematical error, the second being there not being consideration to frames of reference when a singularity in the past was introduced, and the third being that Reichenbach did not give credit to other peoples work that had given predictions about the same things.
  • The Theory of Probability

Reichenbach then went on to publish three more paper throughout the 1920s which allowed him to continued and expand upon his ideas, but in 1935, Reichenbach published “The Theory of Probability”. This allowed Reichenbach to elaborate in more detail and in fuller explanation of his view point.
