    John Dewey graduated from the University of Vermont and began teaching for a few years. He then went on to complete his masters and completed his doctorate in 1884. During his short highschool teaching career he began his Philosophical journey.

    Dewey published “Kant and Philosophic Method” (1884), “Psychology as Philosophic Method” (1886), and “Galton’s Statistical Methods” (1889) which are his best known works for Philosophy of science. The true "philosophy" behind his science is his way of logic. He had a main focus on inquiry and noted science as the best form of it with his theories of instrumentalism and metaphysics. ucation, he contributed greatly to philosophy of science.

    John Dewey became a professor at the University of Michigan where he wrote his first two books: Psychology (1887) and Leibniz’s New Essays Concerning the Human Understanding (1888). During his time at University of Michigan he met James Hayden Tufts and together, published more books and journals diving into the pedagogical method.

    John Dewey resigned from the University of Chicago and began his Philosophical career. He started a new job at the department of philosophy at university of Colombia University. Here, he published many writing on metaphysics along with theory of knowledge: The Influence of Darwin on Philosophy and Other Essays in Contemporary Thought (1910) , Essays in Experimental Logic(1916), How We Think (1910; revised ed. 1933), and Democracy and Education (1916).
