Internet Access
My school added two computers with internet access in the back of one of my classes. We earn ten minute blocks of time on the computer with good behavior, almost as a novelty. This is my first real experience with the internet. -

My family added a second land line to establish a dial-up connection to our home computer. In the years that followed, I used the computer for writing and school work/research, but mostly for extremely slow downloads of pirated music via Napster and Limewire. Image via wikipedia.org -
MacBook
I purchased a white MacBook in 2006 for school and personal use. This purchase sparked a loyalty to Apple products that would stick with me. Image via wikipedia.org -
iPhone
