    Haircut
After growing out my hair for well over 2 years, I had it cut and donated it. This was spurred on by the bullying I had experienced in the years prior.

Looking forward to the future, I hoped that the academic challenges of middle school would make up for the lack thereof in elementary school. I was thoroughly disappointed.

    Success
The Mathematics, Engineering and Scientific Achievement Day was an integral part of my middle school career. Mock Trials & Broken Shoes
The night before our mock trial, my team had yet to finish compiling our case. As a result, I stayed up until 1:00 A.M. and woke up at 3:00 A.M. in order to finish. Before the trial began, the sole of my right shoe broke off, which I taped back together. I limped toward the stand and tried to give my opening statements. We lost in a 6-3 decision.

    Freshman Finals & Bottle Rockets
For months I had been creating a website for one of my final projects, but had neglected the accompanying report. I finished the report at 10:41 P.M., before realizing that I also had to build an egg-drop bottle rocket. I was stressed and ashamed of my procrastination, but quickly learned that some of my peers had likewise stayed up finishing their finals.
