Birth
Persephone was born to Zeus, king of Gods, and Demeter, Goddess of agriculture. -

Childhood
Persephone spent her childhood with her goddess and nymph friends, running around the mortal world, carefree and picking flowers. -

Kidnapping
Hades, the God and king of the underworld took a liking to Persephone and one day he kidnapped her and took her to the underworld. -

Pomegranate
In the underworld while she was waiting to be saved, she couldn't help herself but to eat just a small bit of a pomegranate, 1/3 of it to be exact. -

Rescue
When Demeter and Hermes came to get Persephone, they had discovered she ate the pomegranate, and if you eat anything out of the underworld you are binded to stay there for life, however Zeus decided that since she only ate 1/3 of it she only had to stay in the underworld for 1/3 of the year. -

New Life
Due to her requirement of three months of the year being in the underworld, Persephone found her place as the queen of the underworld, while still enjoying her life with her mother and friends. However, during the three months that she is underground Demeter gets so sad and depressed that she allows all of the plants to die, explaining the harsh winter months, with no food growing.
