An American Couple
Afer her embarrassment with Ollie, she works at her mothers store called "To Have and to Hold". After a while an American couple comes in to ask if they do international weddings. This is important for the rest of the book. -
Saturday Breakfast
During the Saturday breakfast, we get to know Penny´s family better. Her father loves cooking, and her mother run a wedding stores, who specialises in unique themes. We also learn that they practically have adopted Elliot, her best friend. He hangs out at Penny´s place almost all the time. -
Spilled Milkshake
She enters a cupcake and hot chocolate store with Elliot, when her crush for the past 6 years, a boy named Ollie, enter the store. He ends up sitting next to her and asking her out the next day She does some embarrassing things and eventually she gets so afraid, she feels a panic attack coming and run out of the store. Only to run into a waitress caring milkshakes, these milkshakes are spilled all over Ollie. -
The Big Surprise
Her mother learns about the American couple and say yes to do the wedding in New York. Penny has to come with them, but she is afraid of flying. Therefore Elliot comes with her to calm her nerves and to stay with her while her parents are busy organizing the wedding. -
The Scene Accident
Penny is the photographer for the school play, but she is afraid to be in front of an audience. When she is forced up on stage she is so nervous she falls over and shows her underpants to the entire audience and to the boy who are filming. Later, this video goes viral. -
The Waldorf Hotel
After a long flight form Brighton, Eliiot, Penny and her family arrives in New York and their hotel Waldorf. The hotel is beautiful and stunning. -
Ocean Strong
When Penny, Elliot and the rest of her family is about to board the plane, she starts to feel afraid. Elliot tells her to calm down, but nothing helps and Penny almost have another panic attack. However, just before the panic attack begins, Elliot comes up with an idea. He tells Penny to create an alter ego. Focusing on the alter ego helps Penny control the panic attack and helps her throughout the book. -
The flight
Penny has always been afraid of flying, but with the help from Elliot, she managed it. Elliot helps Penny focusing on Ocean Strong and her hobbies. He asks questions such as "What is her catchphrase?" When Penny is out of suggestion, Elliot starts listing catchphrases from movies. Before Penny realize it, they are already one hour into the flight. -
Noah
After Penny has been introduced to everyone who are helping with the wedding, she goes off on her own to explore the hotel further. She hears a guitar and follows the sound of music to a huge, dark room. She takes a picture, but she forgets to turn off the blitz. The entire room is filled with light and we meet Noah for the first time. -
Moonlight Picnic
Penny finds out her family want to spend New Year in New York. On the wedding day for the couple her mother works for, Noah takes her out for a surprise. It is a moonlight picnic, where they get to know each other better. They end up sharing their first kiss. Her friend Elliot puts her in a dilemma. He is not allowed to stay in New York until New Years and wants Penny to come home with him. She now has to choose between her boyfriend and her best friend. -
The Truth
After coming home from New York, Ollie comes to visit her. He sees the picture of Noah hanging on the wall and asks her if she is just as obsessed with him as the other girls at their school. Ollie tells Penny that Noah is actually a rising star when it comes to singing. Penny is shocked by this truth and tries to call Noah, but he does not pick up the phone. -
The Revealing
After finding out about her boyfriend being a pop star, her secret about being Girl Online is revealed. The papparazzi tries to interview her, but she refuse to answer any of their questions. Noah finds out that both of her secret have been revealed. The secret about being his girlfriend and that she is the owner of the blog. This causes a lot of publicity because Noah is supposed to be with another girl. He thinks Penny has done it intentionally and gets angry at her. -
The End
After months not speaking to each other, Penny has given up hope to repair her relationship with Noah. School has been worse since the truth came out about her and Noah. One day her parents and Elliot says they have a surprise for her waiting at the beach, close to where she lives. When she goes to see what it is, Noah stands there waiting for her. He is ready to fix his mistakes and apologies.
