    In 1765 Peggy's younger brother John Bradstreet was born on July, 12. Who eventually goes on to marry Catharina Van Rensselaer, and has two kids. And dies August 19, 1795.

    Hamilton then writes a piece in October called ‘The way to get him, for the benefit of all single ladies who desire to be married.’ and asked Peggy if she could be the main character in it. As Peggy and the main character had many similar qualities. However Peggy turned the opportunity down for unknown reasons.

    1780 Peggy becomes antiquated with Alexander Hamilton, her brother in law, via letters. And she and Hamilton constantly exchanged letters, and had a very close friendship.

    The Schuyler mansion is being raided by Native Americans and other enemies, so everyone in the house that included Peggy's parents and siblings go hide upstairs. However Peggy's infant nephew was left downstairs. So Peggy went down to go get the child, and was almost killed by raiders.

    Hamilton describes Peggy as "very beautiful but vain and supercilious" in a letter. Also Described as having "a kind of wicked wit", and being a very animated and lively young woman.

    Peggy marries a Stephan Van Rensselaer who was one of her distant cousins. Who was one of the most top 10 richest men until 2007. He was also a landowner, businessman, militia officer, and politician, and graduate of Harvard University by age 21.

    Peggy had her first and only son Stephan Van Rensselaer IV, after her two previous children died as infants. Stephan then grew up to study at Princeton University, and later became a major general.

    Peggy becomes very ill with an unknown sickness. She suffered from this illness for more than a year before she dies. Hamilton also spent plenty of time with her while she was sick and often wrote Eliza to keep her kept up on Peggy's state.

    After over a year of suffering from an unknown illness at the age of 42, Peggy finally dies peacefully in her husbands mansion in New Albany. She was buried in a private family vault at the Van Rensselaer manor. However in 1848 the manor Peggy was buried at was demolished and she was moved to a new cemetery in New Albany.

    Peggy's husband remarries three years after her death to Cornelia Patterson. And has one child with her named Henry Bell Van Rensselaer. And stays with Cornelia until he dies.
