United States Declares War
A day after the end of Pearl Harbor, the U.S. declares war on Japan, signaling America's entry into World War II. World War II was now a reality to the Americans. -

Surprise Attack
On December 7, 1941, the U.S. Pacific Fleet in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, was hit by a surprise attack by the Japanese aircraft. This day was known as "a day which will live in infamy." -
The Destruction
Three battleships has been capsized(sunk) and four more other ships have been damaged. Nineteen naval vessels not counting the eight other battleships were sunk or severely damaged, 188 aircraft was destroyed throughout the Americans. -
The First Shot
After the attack, the U.S. entered World War II immediately against Japan and its ally Germany. The destroyer had fired some of the first American shots of World War II.
