The U.S had figured for sometime now that the Japanese were going to have some form of rebelion against the U.S, they just didn't know when. President Roosevelt sent a peace treaty to Japan, but got no reply. -

Japanese fighter planes attack around 8 AM
Hundreds of Japanese fighter planes attack the small island of Honalulu, Hawaii around 8 AM, on december 7th, destroying several U.S vessels. -
The air raids had seized
The Japanese airplanes that had been the main contributors of the Pearl Harbor attack had stop their fire by around 9:45 AM. The damage was already done though, sinking 3 large U.S vessels. -
First bunch of planes
The first set of Japanese fighters planes left their ships that were placed closer to Hawaii. These ships were holding 183 fighter planes that would later attack the U.S. -
The second bunch of fighter planes
The second round of fighter planes left their battle ships around 7:15 AM. They circled pearl harbor and after they left around 9:45 AM. The attack was moreso over. -
U.S declares war
The day after pearl harbor the U.S congress decided to declare war on Japan, because of the recent attack and cutting of relations with them as well. -
Japanese allies with Italy and Germany
After the U.S declared war on Japan three days earlier, then Japan allied with Italy and Germany and they declared war against the U.S. -
Roosevelt gets involved in the war
Roosevelt was getting tired of the back and forth fighting between the U.S and Japan and sent an atom bomb to be set on central Japan.
