Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. They decided to bomb Pearl Harbor, as it held the majority of the Americans naval forces in the pacific.They also wanted to bomb Pearl Harbor because it was closer ot Japna then the Unite States, and they would have less distance to travel. -

Gave the military broad powers to ban any citizen from a 50 to 60 mile wide coatal area stretching from Washington state to California and extending inland into southern Arizona. It also authorized transporting these citizens to assembly centers. Americans were worse and more sweeping, uprooting entire communities and targeting ciztizens as well as residdent aliens. -
