1941: War warning
Admiral Isoroku Yamamato of Japan made a plan to attack the harbor. On November 27, a message went out to American generals and admirals in Hawaii, the Philippines, and the Panama Canal Zone: "Consider this dispatch a war warning." -
December 7, 1941: Japan bombs Pearl Harbor
A warning reached Hawaii too late and resulted in the Japanese bombing the “Battle Row” at Pearl Harbor -
