Paul Feyerabend was born on January 13, 1924 in Vienna. He was and remains one of the most thought-provoking philosophers of science of the 20th Century. -
Feyerabend receives his Doctorate in Philosophy from University of Vienna
Feyerabend also studied History, Sociology, Physics, Psychology, and Astronomy before finally settling on a doctorate in Philosophy. -
Against Method
Paul Feyerabend writes "Against Method" and was supposed to work on a sequel with Lakatos, but sadly, Lakatos passes away unexpectedly in 1974 and they were never able to collaborate. Science in a Free Society
Feyerabend received much criticism for the tone implied in his first book, and this second book was a response to its critical reviews. It contains a section entitled "Conversations with Illiterates," in which he asserts that he was largely misunderstood, claiming his sarcasm was mistaken for nastiness (Munécar). His claim that science only justified itself and is not a real measure of truth was received badly.

Farewell to Reason
Paul Feyerabend published Farewell to Reason which was a publication of his most influential works from the 1980's. Killing Time
'Killing Time" is Feyerabend's autobiography, completed just days before his death. Death of Dr. Paul Feyerabend
He passed away from an inoperable brain tumor while at the Genolier Clinic in Switzerland. He is buried in his family grave in Vienna.
